Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (remote)

Northwind Rowan Foods is a Oakland food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in cold storage and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on sanitation schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
