Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Oakland, CA)

Silverline Iron Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Oakland. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
