Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Jackson, MS)

Westbrook Thistle Insurance Group is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 313 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in catastrophe response and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
