Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Hartford, CT)

Amberfield Sable Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Hartford, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
