Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Grand Rapids, MI)

Amberfield Willow Insurance is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
