Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Northwind Wilder Insurance and adding a Senior Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 618 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer complaints. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
