Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Detroit, MI)

Northwind West Freight Partners coordinates shipments and warehousing around Detroit. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 83 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on proof of delivery. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
