Senior Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Vista Financial and adding a Senior Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 259 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Investigate trends in payment disputes and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on loan applications. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
