Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Markets is a Seattle retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in promotions and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on online orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
