Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Orchard Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Investigate trends in proof of delivery and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
