Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Vista Water Authority is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
