Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Rochester, NY)

Nova Beacon Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Rochester, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on catastrophe response. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
