Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Cedar Glen Telecom is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 382 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in field visits and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
