Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Northwind Wren Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in recycling loads and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
