Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Fernwood Umber Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Boston design routes and schedules, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
