Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Cedar Fern Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Austin. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We reward reliability. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in carrier rates and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
