Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Fernwood Forge Energy is an energy provider in Kansas City focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
