Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Jackson, MS)

Summit Logistics is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in harvest schedules and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on field records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
