Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Forge Freight and adding a Senior Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on dock schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
