Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Silverline Mill Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in customer tracking and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
