Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Boise, ID)

Amberfield Iron Insurance is an insurance company in Boise with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on premium billing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
