Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Boise, ID)

Nova Granite Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Boise and nearby communities, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in meter reading and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on capital projects. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
