Senior Data Analyst - operations reporting (Austin, TX)

Harborlight Birch Legal Group is a law firm in Austin serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in client files and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on trust accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
