Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Willow Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Virginia Beach, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
