Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Sacramento, CA)

Summit Meridian Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Sacramento. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 137 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
