Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Rochester, NY)

Summit Glen Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Rochester design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
