Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Lakeside Telecom is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in customer tickets and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on network equipment. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
