Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Thistle Markets is a Rochester retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on forecasting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on online orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
