Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Summit River Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
