Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Cedar Yarrow Energy is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
