Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Clearpath Wilder Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Rochester, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on premium billing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
