Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Summit Beacon Markets Group is a New Orleans retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on forecasting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Investigate trends in store inventory and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on online orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
