Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Redstone Lantern Housing provides affordable homes and support services around Oakland. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on forecasting. We value patience and follow-through. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in waiting lists and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on rent assistance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
