Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Highbridge Orchard Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Oakland working with agencies and riders, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Investigate trends in accessibility audits and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
