Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Lumen Birch Transit Planning and adding a Senior Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
