Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Silverline Bright Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Grand Rapids area, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Investigate trends in billing accounts and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on meter reading. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
