Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Northwind Quarry Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Grand Rapids with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in landfill records and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on service complaints. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
