Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Meridian Foods is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for ingredient orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in ingredient orders and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer specifications. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
