Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Buffalo, NY)

Stonegate Wilder Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Buffalo, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
