Senior Data Analyst - forecasting (Austin, TX)

Harborlight Quarry Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in service alerts and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on route schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
