Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (remote)

Stonegate Meridian Civic Services works with county and city offices around Kansas City. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on constituent requests. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
