Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (Madison, WI)

Westbrook Sparrow Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Madison design routes and schedules, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in survey data and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
