Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (Jackson, MS)

Amberfield Oak Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Jackson design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would join a large organisation of about 487 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
