Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (Chicago, IL)

Foxglove Lantern Insurance is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on dashboard development for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
