Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (Boise, ID)

Bluepeak Thistle Insurance is an insurance company in Boise with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to take on dashboard development. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
