Senior Data Analyst - dashboard development (Austin, TX)

Redstone Forge Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Austin, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our dashboard development. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
