Senior Data Analyst - customer trends (Rochester, NY)

Fernwood Ashton Freight Group is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 837 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in customer tracking and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on loads and lanes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
