Senior Data Analyst - customer trends (Portland, OR)

Summit Thistle Insurance is an insurance company in Portland with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
