Senior Data Analyst - customer trends (Birmingham, AL)

Ironwood Sparrow Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Birmingham presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need a Senior Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in volunteer programmes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on event logistics. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
