Senior Data Analyst - customer trends (Austin, TX)

Northwind Umber Civic Services is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 176 people based in Austin. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on procurement. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
